12/24-A mostly cloudy day with mainly mid cloud ceilings in both inland and coastal areas. There was some light rain in the area in the late afternoon and late evening (.04" measured here) as clouds lowered and thickened. Max temps still on the quite cool side only reaching the upper 50's in both inland and coastal areas. 12/25-Merry Christmas!--and our Christmas present from Mom Nature was a day of on and off rain showers and gusty winds at times also. Storm totals which averaged around a quarter inch for most areas(.21" measured here) were much less than had been predicted. Skies began clearing during the late evening and temps began dropping after the passage of the last cold front. Max temps in both areas reached around the 60 degree mark. 12/26-A very cool to quite brisk day after the Christmas rain with just some scattered stratocu during the day becoming clear late. Max temps only reached the mid 50's in both areas. 12/27-The day had a cold start with a frost advisory-inland temps were in the 30's near daybreak with low 40's closer to the coast. Skies were mainly clear with some high clouds at times and temps were close to the 60 degree mark for both areas. 12/28-Another cold start with another frost advisory had inland daybreak temps near the freezing mark and near 40 degrees closer to the coast. Under mostly clear skies with a touch of high clouds max temps reached the mid 60's inland and the low 60's closer to the coast. 12/29- A spectacular day with clear skies over the entire area let max temps warm to the low 70's inland and the upper 60's to near 70 closer to the coast. 12/30-Skies remained clear inland all day but there was some low cloudiness that returned to coastal areas in the early a.m. and again during the mid afternoon--in between those times, skies were mainly clear with some high clouds at times. During the late afternoon through the late evening dense fog affected areas near the coast with visibilities lowering to under one mile. The days max temps continued very pleasant reaching the low to mid 70's inland with mid to upper 60's closer to the coast.
